You’ll leave Constance and cross the lake by riding on a large dike towards the monastic island of Reichenau. This was an important spiritual center in the Middle Ages and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Keep riding to the Hori peninsula, known for spiritual and artistic influence from its Benedictine Abbey. The route continues along the shore of Lake Constance util you reach Diessenhofen.

Enjoy the morning by strolling around one of the best-preserved villages in Europe, Stein-am-Rhein. You’ll see intricately detailed murals painted on half-timbered houses. Get on the Lake Constance bike path and pedal towards the Swiss side. You’ll pass colorful, authentic fishing villages. Soon you’ll find yourself in the German countryside and th village of Wallhausen where ferries will take you to the charming city of Uberlinger. Enjoy the view from the ferry!

Bike through the well-maintained vineyards and pastures on your way to Friedrichshafen. On the way, check ou the Baroque church in Birnau, and the prehistoric musuem in Unteruhlidingen. Stop in the medieval city of Meersburg, where you can see the oldest inhabited caste in Europe. The Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen is not to be missed. Maybe splurge and take a authentic Zeppelin ride. Your day ends by reaching your accommodation in the Kressborn area.

Today’s ride continue on the Constance Lake bike trail. Take the bridge to the island of Lindau and ejoy a piece of "kasekuchen" (cheesecake) at an outdoor café. Lindau has a magnificent harbor, medieval buildings and amazing view of the Alps. After filling up on delicious pastry, keep pedaling to the Austrian town of Bergenz, where you’ll see the massive St Martin’tower. If you like, take a gondola up to Pfander Mountain where you’ll get a great view of Lake Constance and see the route you are taking! Bregenz is also known for it summer music festival where musicians perform on an open-hair, floating stage at the end of the lake.Your comfortable hotel is situated between Hochst and Rorschach.

This morning the bike path follows the Swiss shore, through the picture-perfect countryside dotted with traditional villages. You’ll cross Romanshorn, the largest harbor on Lake Constance.
You will frequently ride past little beaches from where you can take a dip in the blue waters of the lake.
End your afternoon with a casual stroll around the old city of Constance.

After breakfast, take a city our before returning home. You may end up waiting to extend your tour so you can visit more of this delighful area.

Bikes
On your arrival day, we provide you with :
- a touring bike adjusted to your size or a tandem
-
equipped : front rack pack with an integrated file compartment, saddlebags, helmet (on demand), reflective vest, repairing toolkit with patches etc.
We also provide you with the appropriate equipment for your children :
baby seat, bike trailer or trailer bike depending on their age and size.
Electric bikes are also available for adults for some trips. If available, the option is specified on the page "prices".
Luggage
Our services include luggage transport in order to let you enjoy your trip comfortably and without stress (optional for short trips) :
- We transport your luggage from one accommodation to the next using a private vehicle.
- Your luggage is directly delivered in your hotel room before you arrive.
- We provide bicycle saddlebags for the things you shall need during the day.
If your package doesn't include luggage transport, the bikes will be equipped with 2 waterproof saddlebags with 10 to 20L capacity each to carry your things.
Our word of advice : as we know from experience, we strongly recommend you to avoid wearing a backpack during your cycling trip.
Travel documents
A cycling holiday is the best way to explore a region and discover its culture, landscapes and local traditions.
Your tour is self-guided to give you the freedom to ride at your own pace. You will be provided all the information you need to enjoy peacefully the itinerary and its interesting sites.
You will have in your travel documents maps of the itinerary
- a detailled bike map (scale 1:50 000)
- a leaflet with the point of interest and your practical information (hotellist, opening hours, etc.)
