Basque country bike trip

The Basque country is an extraordinary setting for a cycling holiday with mountain and ocean views. Starting in Biarritz, the itineraries are on low-traffic roads or cycle paths from the Velodyssey cycle route along the coast. Because of its situation at the foot of the Pyrenees, the region is hilly and can be challenging for a cycle tour: that’s the reason why we offer our trips with an ebike, which doesn’t prevent from choosing a classic touring bike if you feel like it. Our cycle routes are chosen to let you discover the local traditions as well as the architecture of the region, where colorful houses are spread in a no less colorful nature. If you stay long enough, you will be able to meet the pilgrims walking to Santiago de Compostela in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. On your way, watch the pelota players in the villages like Ainhoa, Sare or Saint-Etienne-de-Baïgorry, taste the peppers in Espelette or the ham in Bayonne, and look at the surfers on the coast between Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Biarritz.
